Sometimes you temporarily need to store your firearm in your truck, these heavy-duty locking Storage Lids replace the existing plastic OEM factory covers, creating secure storage in the hidden OEM compartments in the floor.
The unique designs feature our Pry-Guard locking system with 1/8" thick steel components and a welded continuous steel hinge. The lids also provide a sturdier and more durable deck surface for items placed on top. Easy to install using standard hand tools in just a few minutes. Constructed from 16 gauge and 1/8" thick welded steel.
Product appears well built and good quality, but actual fitting in my vehicle is not so good. I followed the enclosed directions and have exposed floor and carpet edges that should be covered but are not. This needs top be reevaluated and redesigned. Made larger to cover the carpet so nothing is left open and exposed. I do not mind making modifications to the plastic bin, but the finished product should look like it belongs there. firstname.lastname@example.org

This product provides much more security that the factory bin. I have read several reviews where customers have commented on exposed silver bolts.. If you are experiencing this, you need to learn how to read the installation instructions. Step 6 of the instructions clearly state to replace the factory bin bolts with the provided screws, which are black flathead bolts that will be concealed under the carpet. There is also a note about modifying the plastic liner, which is NOT required. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PEOPLE before complaining about this product!!

This purchase will require you to do some modifications. They built the top very short that the carpeting is all exposed, chassis bolts and galvanized flooring are all visible. The plastic bucket needs some extensive modification around the lip and where the lock must set. Some folks won't want to butcher the bin insert. I had to do several modifications and I had to paint the steel floor and chassis bolts which are now visible. I also had to use a fat permanent black sharpie to do the right and left carpet exposed rim which is white and grey. otherwise my 70K car looks like a POS. The unit is well built however very poor fitting. I wonder if they ever tested this tip in an actual car after building it? You can't jump into a car and take a paper templet and expect it to all be correct. I would have loved to say 5 star. If they correct the flaws it would be A+.
