TUFFY SECURITY PRODUCTS ADDS NEW TAILGATE LOCKBOX TO ITS JEEP® WRANGLER JL OFFERINGS

CORTEZ, Colo. – Tuffy Security Products has expanded its line of Jeep® Wrangler JL products to include the Model 349, a heavy duty, high security tailgate lockbox. The new product mounts directly to the interior of the Jeep JL’s tailgate using the tailgate rail mounts, allowing JL owners to have added secure storage of their gear.
Crafted from welded 16-gauge steel, the Model 349 comes equipped with two removable shelves so JL owners can organize smaller items on the shelves when installed as well as a door which folds down to create a work table that supports up to 40 pounds. Tuffy Security incorporated the work table feature for those Jeepers who cook or work while off-roading as well as to enable quick sorting and access to the contents of the lockbox. Measuring six inches deep, 33.6 inches wide and 14.5 inches tall, the lockbox has more than 2,700 cubic inches of secure storage and works with or without the OEM hardtop. Because the Model 349 affixes to the tailgate, the lockbox works in conjunction with the Model 345 Jeep JL Deck Enclosure offered by Tuffy as well.
Tuffy’s patented Pry-Guard locking system using 1/8-inch thick welded steel components with a 10-tumbler double bitted security lock and built-in weather seals protects the contents of the Model 349. The weather resistant lid design incorporates Tuffy’s exclusive pin-lock hinging system for additional security.
Model 349 Jeep JL tailgate lockboxes come with all of the mounting hardware required to install the product to the existing OEM mounting points in the tailgate.

CORTEZ, Colo. – Tuffy Security Products, a leading manufacturer of secure storage for serious gear, offers four versions of its Heavy Duty Tactical Security Lock-Boxes – built for law enforcement professionals to secure valuable tactical gear. These boxes are built to carry and secure a Model 870 shotgun, M-4 rifle and a complete set of body armor. Tuffy offers lock-box fitments for Chevrolet Caprice, Impala, Malibu, Dodge Charger, Ford Crown Victoria, Interceptor models, plus other vehicles which offer the adequate space. Additionally, custom Heavy Duty Tactical Security Lock-Boxes can be built to the customer’s specifications, with all of the features of the standard models.
The lock boxes are designed to fit into the trunk well of police cruisers, and provide easy access to gear, while assuring very high levels of security. These boxes are manufactured in the U.S. from 16-gauge steel featuring tab-loc welded construction with ¼” (6.35 mm) thick steel latch components and tough structural top cross supports, and integral hinge tab blocks for added security. As with all Tuffy Security Products, the lock boxes feature complete weather seals to combat moisture and dust intrusion, as well as stopping rattles and squeaks.
A standard pick-resistant 10-tumbler double-bitted lock with Tuffy Security Products’ patented Pry-Guard II locking system is built into the security box lids, and will endure severe duty repeat use, while deterring theft. The Tuffy Heavy Duty Tactical Security Lock-Boxes incorporate a convenient, patented push button latching mechanism which are similar to OEM automotive door latches, which provide a solid, rattle free closure, and provides convenient keyless entry.  Easily programmed push-button style combination locks are an optional feature.
A gas strut supports the lid while open, and the mounting points are reversible to enable convenient access from either side of the lock box. The inside bottom and sides of the boxes are carpet lined to cushion contents. A patent pending, quick access cable securing mechanism is included on both sides for flexibility in securing the lockbox to the vehicle (cable not included, available separately).
All Heavy Duty Tactical Security Lock-Boxes have a black textured powder coat finish for long-lasting durability.
Tuffy offers several useful accessories for the lock-boxes, including push-button combination locks, foam inserts (Pick & Pluck foam, solid sheets and Eggcrate foam sheets), no-slip Diamond Plate vinyl top covering and Auto-On LED interior lighting.

The Toyota Tundra DoubleCab under-seat security box is built to the high standards found in other Tuffy Products security boxes, and is installed using the existing OEM mounting hole while not interfering with passenger comfort. These boxes match the full width of the factory spilt seat design, and conveniently provide access to the short (right) side or long (left) side of the seat. The box’s chamfered front corners allow unhindered passenger access to the back seat, and provide quick access to the seat release levers. The stealthy design keeps the boxes and their sensitive contents hidden from view outside of the vehicle.
The Model 313 Toyota Tundra DoubleCab Under Rear Seat Lockbox delivers over 3200 cubic inches (over 52,439 cc) of storage space.
These under-seat boxes are made of 16-gauge, black textured powder coated steel, featuring welded tab-loc construction. It features a pick-resistant 10-tumbler double-bitted lock with Tuffy Security Products’ Pry-Guard patented locking system to deter theft. The exclusive Pry-Guard latch mechanism allows the cover to shut without being locked, and delivers exceptional strength compared to other latches with 1/8-inch (3.18 mm) thick metal components and a welded steel striker.  The Under Rear Seat Lockboxes use a Pin-Lock hinge and a built-in lid stop for added security. They also feature 100 percent weather sealing around the perimeter to combat moisture and dust intrusion.
These boxes install quickly without drilling the floor pan. The mounting system allows an officer to easily remove an Under Rear Sear Lockbox when the lids are unlocked, without tools. Optional foam inserts, carpeted liners and Auto-On LED interior lighting can be added to these products for convenience and to cushion and protect the contents.
