Won’t hold my shotguns.

"I had a Tuffy underseat box in my 2015 F150 and used it to securely store my sporting clays guns. I bought a new box for my 2023 Ram pickup and it’s not wide enough to hold my guns unless I break them down. Inconvenient. The boxes are strong and beautifully made, though."

Fit was perfect, except for

"Fit was perfect, except for the mounting bracket. Like others have mentioned, my OEM bracket on the seat had a nut welded on it which didn't set flush with the Lockbox bracket. I was able to torque the bolt down enough and it seems to work. I was concerned about the plastic cover breaking or cracking, but it didn't. The construction is good, seals could be a little better so it could keep moisture out cause there are a few little holes around the lid and box. I did have to reach out to customer service about something and they were quick to respond with an answer! Overall, I would buy again. I'm actually looking at the center console safe, but I have to wait till I get the truck back from the shop."

Under seat storage

"Good construction, better than I had hoped, the only problem were the brackets to secure the box to the seat anchor. The brackets will not work per the instructions, the hole the bolt screws into have a reinforced ring under the bolt hole and the brackets are not wide enough to allow the bolt hole to seat. I had to use a washer under the bolt to secure the brackets. I also have floor mats in the back and just cut them to snug up to the box."

mounts do not work properly.

"I like the box and if the mounting worked as described in the instructions I would give it 5 stars. However, the mounting was NOT as described. The drivers side has an accessible bolt (not 10mm) but the mounting ring does not fit. I had to cut the mounting bracket and just wedge the bracket, but it is not secure. On the passenger side, the same bolt is not accessible without removing the seat completely. But it also would not fit the bracket. I hope Tuffy can send me mounting brackets that work!"

Overall, it’s very good

"Overall, it’s very good. The locks seem sturdy and it is well hidden. I have a ram 1500 without floor boxes, and this is shorter to accommodate floor boxes, so I lose quite a bit of length. I also don’t like the crossbar. I have to disassemble shotguns to get them into the box."
