Cheap Insurance against Theft

"This is my second hood lock as the first one wore out after about 7-8 years. Installs easily and definitely helps control hood flutter at highway speeds while increasing the complexity of stealing the battery or aftermarket parts. It comes with 2 keys and the only additional purchase I made was the camlok dust cover which is a must since all the road grime thrown from vehicle tires will hit the keyway opening and potentially interfere with the keyway access and operation. Use a good teflon based lube to keep this operating smoothly, not a penetrating oil like WD-40 which evaporates quickly and does not provide long term lubrication. My Jeep is a 2010 Wrangler Islander 2-DR with a 6M transmission. Highly recommend this simple but effective lock system!"

DESCRIPTION

This high security 16 gauge steel security drawer mounts under the drivers side seat in a Jeep JK. The formfitting design of the Tuffy lockbox has over 324 cubic inches of lockable storage. It’s secured contents are easily accessed by maneuvering the drawer open and closed on the smooth ball bearing slides using the convenient pull lever. Featuring Tuffy’s Pry-Guard Locking System with a 10 tumbler double bitted security lock with built in weather seals. The design incorporates a heavy duty fully extending slide system, weather seal & welded construction. A formed rib in the enclosure additionally strengthens the locking system. Mounts inconspicuously under the drivers side seat in a Jeep JK out of apparent sight of would-be thieves.
