"Before I start my little rant, my review of the product is that it’s arguably unnecessary, it’s nice sometimes when you have things in your hand and there is minimal effort to open it, though there is more effort to close it (obviously). Something that wasn’t so obvious is that you get a rattle in the lid after installing since there is already always slack, but now the lid has pressure making it lighter and easier to bounce while driving. If you replace the rubber gasket with a thicker one I think it should stop. Took 8 months to receive, during those 8 months I was astonished to see that online there was no buyers beware “hey we don’t and won’t have this item for a while” until you order it and get a notice in your email a day later."

This gas spring kit can be mounted on Tuffy consoles with a standard hinge configuration.

The number 40 rated gas strut supports the lid open.
