Very Preventable
"How do you manage to write a positive review when the first thing you see out of the box is a scratched up $550 console? Construction gets a 10. Engineering get a 7 because of the labor intensive installation design. IOWs, you have to mount a bracket onto the speaker box and onto the floor of the TJ, and then mount the rest of the console around it? Lining everything up was a chore. Logistics (e.g. packing) gets an F. When faced with the alternative to repack and take back to a shipping facility to return in the hope that the next unit will deliver appropriately, my unacceptable alternative was a can of spray paint. In the end, the install wasn’t straightforward and required adjustments on the fly. I’m as satisfied as I can possibly be given the aforementioned frustrations. Would I buy it again if I could do it all over? Yes, only because there’s no good competition out there. Which is probably why Tuffy felt it was good enough to throw some bubble wrap around heavy metal objects and ship it across country. It’s a good quality product but, lack of attention to detail also says a lot about the company. Good luck."
